Checking account balance is $2528.13.
Old Business
Anita Metz has learned that in order to procure our tax exemption number, we must pay a fee of $300. It was decided that we would save this amount in less than two years, possibly in one year. Mr. Lopez moved that we pay the fee when funds become available; Anita Metz seconded, and the motion carried.
Uniform Cleaning. During the first and second week of band camp we will do fittings during sectional time. Selected uniforms plus a few extras will be sent to Weston for cleaning. The cost is $10 per uniform (a discount price). Anita Metz moved that we spend the necessary funds on dry cleaning; Mr. Lopez seconded and the motion carried.
Prime Time Advertising. Leslie Ward is playing phone tag with Prime Time, ensuring they have a current graphic.
Band Camp.
Mr. Lopez has the keys to Glenville Elementary.
Instructors are selected and scheduled.
We have permission to paint lines on the field (Mr. Lopez will do this). Levy money will be used to purchase paint for lining the practice field.
Meals will be served in the music room or outside (we cannot use the cafeteria).
We will have water coolers (contributed by Anita plus some Mr. Lopez has access to).
Mr. Lopez will talk to Foodland and see if they can donate breakfast items or cut us a deal on them. He will pick up breakfast items each morning before camp. Sweet rolls, milk, juice, etc.
Parents will maek sandwiches and put chips in small baggies. PowerAde and fruit also to be served. Mr. Lopez will look into getting the PowerAde. Details on sandwiches, chips, and serving will be discussed at the next meeting.
