GCHS Titan Band Booster Meeting
April 5, 2007
The meeting was call to
order at 5:40 p.m. by President Leslie Ward. Those present were John
Lopez, Anita Metz, Amy Shreves, and Leslie Ward.
The minutes
from the previous meeting were approved with a motion to approve by
Amy Shreves and seconded by anita Metz. The motion carried.
Treasurer’s Report
Checking account balance is $1970.82, reflecting a $500 donation from McDonald's
Savings account balance is unchanged at $697.20
Fund Raisers
The Pizza Hut check has been received.
Spaghetti Dinner plans had to be modified. Details were discussed and a motion was made by Mr. Lopez to adopt the new plan. The motion was seconded by Anita Metz and carried.
Dinner to be held Sunday April 229fom 12:30 – 3:00 in the Glenville Elementary cafeteria, pending approval.
We will have full use of the cafeteria kitchen.
Unchanged: Dinner to include spaghetti, sauce, bread, salad & dressing, beverage, and dessert. Leslie Ward to do shopping at Sam's Wholesale.
Also unchanged: Amy Shreves will get announcements into the newspapers and Anita Metz will create flyers to distribute around town.
Tickets will be on sale Monday April 16th through Thursday April 26th. Cost is $7.00 per adult and $5.00 per child 10 and under. Amy Shreves will print up tickets.
We will have door prizes and the Jazz band will perform.
Folk Festival - Cindy Pounds still has the paperwork. Leslie will contact her.
Old Business
We received a
certificate for attending the state Band Festival and will be
receiving a CD. We received ratings of 2, 2, and 1. Approximately
50 students attended. This was a great rating for such a young
group.
New Business
Concert date may be moved up; it will be given the week of May 3rd or 9th.
Uniform storage space is going to be built for us and all we need to is purchase the supplies.
