Those present were Leslie Ward, Anita Metz, Carolyn Greenlief, Cindy Pounds, John Lopez & Evelyn Fraley. The minutes from the previous meeting were approved with a motion to approve by Evelyn Fraley and seconded by Carolyn Greenlief with all in favor. Treasurer’s Report There has been no change in the Treasurer’s report since the last meeting. New checks have been ordered and Anita will go to the bank to order new deposit slips. Fund Raisers · Leslie will check with Donna Waddel regarding the community yard sale. · The spaghetti dinner at Coffee and Friends has been eliminated as a fundraiser as it is felt that it will not be cost effective. Maybe a spaghetti dinner on our own should be considered. · John will check into having another Pizza Hut Fund raiser Super Bowl weekend. We need to make a list of volunteer band members to work the door the day/evening of the event. · Amy has written up a letter for the Elk Club in Bridgeport for Bingo fund request. · John will check with student counsel regarding selling carnations for Valentines Day. Anita will check with the florists in town for the cost of the carnations. Anita will bring a water cooler to the school sometime this week, for the kids to use. New Business John has two goals for the rest of the year. 1. To take an overnight trip to see a musical in Charleston, Morgantown, or Pittsburgh. 2. Get uniforms for next year as we don’t have enough. John has looked into some grants to apply for for uniforms, but most grants require that you have success. He thinks that we will fit that requirement after this year. Harry Rich has donated a trumpet and has requested a receipt of donation in the amount of $300.00. Anita will take care of this. The Pep Band is a little different this year as it is in the form of a rock band. We will be playing at 5 different games for the year. This month we will play on January 18th & 31st. All State auditions take place Saturday, January 9, 2007, we will have 2 participants, Courtney & Olivia. They will leave at 9:30 a.m. The WVU Honor Band is in March and John plans on sending seven. Ratings are in April in Parkersburg, this is for the 9-12 grades band. Meeting was adjourned, with Anita making the motion and Carolyn seconded. All in favor. Adjourned 6:00 p.m. Respectfully Submitted Cynthia A. Pounds Secretary
