The Colina Concert Choir is open to all interested 6th, 7th, and 8th grade Colina students. The ensemble meets each day during 6th period. 2005 Calendar
March 2 Festival Concert in Colina Cafeteria at 7 pm.
March 22 SCVA Festival at Chaparell Middle School to take place during school day
April 19 All-District Choir Concert at Westlake High School. There will be a rehearsal at Westlake in the afternoon (after school). The concert will begin at 7:30 pm
May 14 All day trip to Music in the Parks: Magic Mountain(optional)
May 27 7th Grade Old World Faire at Colina. The choir will perform during 5th and 6th periods.
June 2 & 3 The Colina Performing Arts Dept. presents Shakespeare’s Much Ado About Nothing. There will be a total of four shows: Thursday during the school day, Thursday evening, Friday during the school day, and Friday evening.
Take the challenge to earn Music Merit Awards. Concert Choir students are expected to earn four music merit awards each trimester. Click "Take the Challenge!" above to see a complete list of the awards available and find links to help you prepare for your quests!
Concert and Festival Performances
The Concert Choir will be performing several times this year. Each performance is a part of your academic grade in choir. Your grade for each performance will be determined using the Concert / Festival Performance Rubric.
